What is a Digital Business Review for manufacturers, and how does it work?
A Digital Business Review for manufacturers is a one-day diagnostic in which I map on site how information flows, where it gets lost and what to do about it, in what order. The deliverables are a map of the digital environment, a description of the main losses, a list of bottlenecks and a prioritised twelve-month roadmap. It is a standalone service, not an introduction to an implementation project.
How it works
Before the visit, we have a thirty-minute call to agree the scope and who I need to speak to in the company.
On the day of the visit, I walk through the operation, look at the systems and talk to the people who actually do the work, not just the management. I want to understand where information originates, who needs it, how long it takes to reach them and what they do when they do not have it.
After the visit, I prepare the deliverables, which you receive within a few working days.
The handover takes the form of a presentation to management, rather than simply sending a document by email. The aim is for you to understand the findings and be able to make decisions based on them without me.
Eight deliverables
- A map of the digital environment – systems, processes and data flows. Probably brought together on one page for the first time in your company.
- A description of the digital debt – precisely where you are losing time, money and trust in your figures.
- The main bottlenecks – the three to five places where the company is being held back most.
- Prioritisation – what to do now, what can wait and what not to do at all.
- A twelve-month roadmap – which steps to take, in what order and why that particular sequence.
- An implementation estimate – how much time and work will be required, which technologies are involved and what return to expect.
- The company’s AI readiness – which processes, data and business knowledge can already be used, and what needs to be prepared for AI to work reliably.
- The first worthwhile use of AI – a specific area with the best balance of benefit, readiness and risk.
What is not included
The Digital Business Review is not a 150-page document, a list of recommended technologies or an implementation proposal in disguise. The deliverables often include a list of things you should not do.
Who it is for
It is for profitable manufacturing companies in the Czech Republic with 50 to 150 employees that have an ERP and data, but have reached the limits of how they are managed.
It usually does not make sense for companies with fewer than fifty employees, because direct contact still works as a management method at that size.
What happens next
You can decide to implement the roadmap with me, implement it using your own resources or another supplier, or enter into a long-term arrangement in which I act as your external digital director.
None of these options is a condition of the service. The map and plan remain yours.
How much does it cost?
The price depends on the size of the company and the scope. I will give you the price during our first call, once I understand your situation. The call takes thirty minutes, is free and does not commit you to anything.
